Morocco: A Country Between Africa and Europe

Many people don’t know exactly where Morocco is located, but it’s a very important and unique country.

Morocco is in the northwest of Africa. It is bordered by:

• The Atlantic Ocean to the west
• The Mediterranean Sea to the north
• Algeria to the east
• And in the south, it reaches the region of Western Sahara

Just across the sea to the north is Spain. That’s why Morocco is often called a gateway between Africa and Europe.

The country is very diverse: it has mountains, beaches, deserts, and beautiful cities like Casablanca, Marrakech, Fes, and the capital Rabat.

Thanks to its history, culture, and location, Morocco is known around the world — even if some people don’t quite know where it is yet!

Today, Morocco is a popular tourist destination and a key political and economic player in North Africa.
